Navigating the Maze
Visiting Angels San Jose, a non-medical homecare agency announces "Navigating the Maze" a FREE forum for families and caregivers of seniors. On Tuesday, January 17, 2012, Visiting Angels is bringing together over 30 experts from the fields of Medicine, Law, Real Estate, Remodeling, Finance to answer questions from the general public on the practical side of aging.
There will be 3 rotating breakout rooms where the attendees will be able to ask questions with our panel of experts in the areas of Environmental/Home, Financial/Legal, Body/Mind, and Community Based resources addressing the concerns that are important to a seniors' well-being so they can age in place successfully. There will also a Community Room where all of the Professions/ Panelist will have informative brochures and representatives available to answer any questions that weren't covered in the breakout sessions. It's FREE for the public!
We will have representatives in the following areas on hand that day to answer your questions. Long Term Care Insurance, Medicare, Home Remodeling, Family Counseling, Real Estate downsizing, Reverse Mortgages, Exercise and fitness, Physical Therapy, and an Estate Attorney to answer general Legal Issues. Non Profit Associations will include American Diabetes Association, The Stroke Foundation, American Cancer Society, Hospice of the Valley, The Alzheimer's Association, and more.
Navigating the Maze - The Origin
Richard Clarke, owner of Visiting Angels San Jose was introduced with the negative aspects of the MAZE families found themselves in when attempting to find reliable resources addressing aging issues. He found that the clients he was working with couldn't get their questions answered sufficiently in their community. He was constantly being asked questions about Estate planning, probate, and questions surrounding dealing with diseases such as Parkinson's so he sought out the answers for his clients and here we are today creating the first Annual "Navigating the Maze" a FREE forum to save you time and energy.
